Since 1983, Sunlites has restored hundreds of stained glass windows in churches, sacred spaces and homes.
Major projects include removal and complete restoration of the third largest Rose window c 1917 in North America at Blessed Sacrament Church, NYC as well fully restoring over 100 stained glass windows from the Lorin Studio- Chartres, France, c. 1916 and the Daprato Studio at St. Jean Baptiste Church NYC.
Continuing work over the years at All Saints Episcopal Church, c. 1872 on Manhattans East Side includes removal and restoration of historic Nave and Altar windows. Brooklyn projects include the c. 1860 stencil painted windows at Stuyvesant Heights Christian Church, nee the Tompkins Avenue Presbyterian Church, and the main altar window “Christ with the Little Children” at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Stuyvesant Heights.
Major recent and ongoing restorations include c. 1885 secular Tiffanylike ornamental and figural windows at historic Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village, Beth El Temple nee historic Trinity Church c. 1858-Far Rockaway, c. 1904 Ornamental LC Tiffany skylight and transoms at St. Francis Xavier, Park Slope.
Other important work has been performed on LC Tiffany windows at Bowne Street Community Church -Flushing, Christ Church, Park Ave -NYC, St. Patrick’s Cathedral-NYC, The Carlton Hotel Tiffany Dome, Madison Ave. NYC and the St. Paul the Apostle Church John LaFarge Windows -on West 59th St. in Manhattan.

Sunlites recently undertook restoration of L. C. Tiffany ornamental windows at the landmarked, historic “Gould Memorial Library” of the old New York University, now the Bronx Community College.

The Studio performs all restoration services including on-site evaluations, access to all windows and laylights, emoval and extradition of stained glass panels and sashes, transport and in Studio restorations. In situ restoration of stable condition stained glass windows and sashes is also performed.
Work available also includes restoration of damaged and rotted wood sashes and restoration of steel casement
frames and windows. Steel casements can be restored in situ, removed and restored, and/or replaced with salvaged
historic matching steel casement windows, or newly fabricated reproductions.
